THE 2023 WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS was a prominent stage for many gifted African athletes to exhibit their talents and leave an unforgettable impression on the international stage.

Participation in the event spanned across Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Morocco, Botswana, Burkina Faso, and South Africa. Athletes hailing from these nations not only took part but also achieved remarkable feats that earned global attention.

Kenya spearheaded the competition with an impressive tally of ten medals, closely followed by Ethiopia with nine. Uganda, Morocco, Botswana, and Burkina Faso each secured two medals, while South Africa remained the sole nation that had yet to secure a spot on the Medal Table for the past two years.
